Saturday, March 15, 2014 On Saturday March 15 at 1750, the Hillsborough Fire district was dispatched to Auten Road for the reported structure fire. Chief 37 arrived on scene, established command and reported smoke showing from the roof of a middle unit townhouse. Assistant 38 took operations. Crews from station 37 made an interior attach while Engine 36 established a water supply and Ladder 36 took the address and extended its aerial to the roof. In a coordinated attack, 37 crews put water on the attic fire while 36 crews vented the roof. The fire was quickly knocked down and brought under control, preventing its spread to other units. District crews overhauled the structure extinguishing any remaining hot spots.
