On Wednesday July 16th at 1027, Stations 37 and 38 were dispatched to the area of 270 Sunnymead Road for an Aircraft crash. Fire Marshal John Yanko arrived on scene first and advised responding units that there was a small plane down with confirmed entrapment of a single occupant. Shortly thereafter extremely wet and muddy conditions were reported which were hampering responders from making access and 4 wheel drive vehicles were requested. Ranger 36 and Brush 36-2 were added to the box for all terrain support. Ranger 28 was also added by command. The patient was extricated quickly and transported by ground. Units remained on scene until secured by Officials on location while the investigation was completed. Later in the day at around 1430 Brush 36-2 was requested back to the scene to stand by with Brush 37-2 until the plane was removed.
