PD Assist – Playground Next to Municipal Building

On Tuesday March 31st at 1631, Stations 36, 37, and Rescue 79 were dispatched to the playground next to the Municipal Building on South Branch Road to assist the Police Department in removing a child stuck in playground equipment.  Units arrived on scene to find a child with their legs stuck in a rubber swing.

CPR Recertification

On Tuesday March 24th, members of Flagtown Fire/ Rescue re-certified their CPR.  As first responders it’s important to be up on our skills and all members passed with ease.  Thank you to instructors Sean Mornoney, Christine Gwin, Rob Slovik, and Lori Voorhees for making the class fun while we learned valuable skills.

Bailout Bag Certification

On Saturday March 14th members of Flagtown Fire joined by fellow brothers from Lyons Fire Department attended a class at the Chubb Loss Prevention Lab in Warren Township.  Members listened to a Loss Prevention and systems specialist explain how sprinkler systems operate under fire conditions and how crews can secure these systems after a fire.

Somerville St. Patrick’s Day Parade

On Saturday March 14th Flagtown fire lined up to participate in the annual Somerville St. Patrick’s Day Parade.  Many companies were in attendance and a good time was had by all.  Flagtown sent Car 36, Brush 36 and Marine 36.
