On Thursday April 16th at 1639 Stations 36 and 37 were dispatched to the area Amwell Road for a possible brush fire.  Chief 36 arrived to find smoke showing in the woods behind Amwell Mall.  Chief 36 established command and due to the red flag warnings added Station 38′s brush unit.  Crews made access to an approximately 50×50 brush fire behind a residence on 206.  Crews from Brush 36, Brush 36-2, Engine 36, Mini Attach 37, 38 Brush, and Forestry extinguished the fire and completed overhaul.  The scene was turned over to Forestry to monitor and crews cleared approximately an hour after dispatch.

Please remember, during warm days with low humidity the possibility for a small brush fire to burn out of control is at a much higher probability.  Please do your part and help us by monitoring burn pits, discarding ashes from fire places appropriately and not throwing your lit cigarettes out of car windows.Brush Fire - 04-16-2015 - 450 Amwell Road - Crater 001 Brush Fire - 04-16-2015 - 450 Amwell Road - Crater 002 Brush Fire - 04-16-2015 - 450 Amwell Road - Foelsch 001 Brush Fire - 04-16-2015 - 450 Amwell Road - Foelsch 002 Brush Fire - 04-16-2015 - 450 Amwell Road - Foelsch 003 Brush Fire - 04-16-2015 - 450 Amwell Road 001 Brush Fire - 04-16-2015 - 450 Amwell Road 004 Brush Fire - 04-16-2015 - 450 Amwell Road 006
