On Saturday July 25th at 1321 while members were cleaning up from the district drill, Station 36 was dispatch along with Rescue 79 for an injured hiker in the Sourland Mountain Preserve on trail 10 or 11. Chief 36 responded and joined Asst. Chief 79 in ascertaining the patients location. Ranger 36 & 79 responded and proceeded into the preserve to track down the patient. Crews made contact on foot once the trails became unpassable for ATVs. Shortly after patient contact was made and 36 crews assisted in packaging of the victim and brought her out with 79 crews. Once the patient was loaded into the ambulance, all crews secured for much needed rest.
