On Monday October 19th at 0417 the Hillsborough Fire District was dispatched to Dunedain Street for the report of a structure fire. Chief 37 arrived on scene, established command, and reported heavy fire on the exterior garage wall on the bravo side of the building. Ladder 36 arrived on scene and its crew immediately went to work. The crew was split with 2 firemen going to division 2 of the structure to conduct a primary search and check for vertical fire spread. The remainder of the crew was sent interior to the garage to pull the ceiling to check for extension. Upon opening the celling horizontal fire spread was discovered in the garage attic and quickly extinguished. Engines 36 and 37 arrived on scene and assisted with exterior overhaul, removing siding and opening the exterior wall to check for extension. All units cleared the scene and command was terminated at 0517.
