On Monday May 16th at 1000 Flagtown Firefighter Pete Heitz leaves for Air Force basic training. Pete will be heading to Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio Texas for 8 weeks where he will complete basic training and graduate as an Airman First Class (E3). When basic training is complete Pete will head to Keesler Air Force Base in Biloxi Mississippi for an additional 10 weeks where he will undergo training in his MOS, Air Traffic Control.
Pete has served the residents of Hillsborough as a fireman for the past 11 years. He is someone that every member of our department has come to depend upon since he joined Flagtown Fire back in 2005. He leaves Hillsborough now to serve all the citizens of our great nation. We are proud of Pete and wish him all the best as he expands his horizons and prepares for this new phase of his life. Pete will be back in Flagtown to visit all of us in September.
