On Saturday May 21st at 0800 members of Flagtown Fire conducted their semi quarterly apparatus cleaning. Ladder 36 was stripped down, washed, and de-greased. Tools were painted and all equipment was inspected for damage and wear and tear from top to bottom. This was a 9 hour monumental under taking but as always it proved as a valuable training tool for new members, refreshers for senior members and a great way to catch problems before they arise on a call. No piece of the Ladder wasn’t touched or inspected! It was also a great bonding experience for all of us as everyone from the chief on down to the newest rookie all rolled up our sleeves and worked together side by side to break down and accomplish this daunting task. A huge thank you to the members that participated and got wet and dirty. We all had a great time!
