On Tuesday July 19th at 1214 Stations 36 and 48 were dispatched to East Mountain Road for a large field fire possibly involving tractors. Chief Fire Marshal arrived on scene established command and upgraded the assignment to include Station 37, Station 38, Station 45, the Forestry Service, and tankers from neighboring areas. Brush 36, Ranger 36, Brush 36-2, and Tanker 36 responded. Two tractors and a large field were involved in the fire. The fire was stopped at the tree line and the tractors were saved. Per Forestry representatives, a little over 11 acres burned. Hazmat reps also responded for fluids leaking from tractors. All units cleared at 1339 and the scene was turned over to the Forestry Service.
